Welcome to the Cognitive Neuroscience Group

We study Consciousness and Visual Perception.

The main focus of our research is on understanding how the brain extracts conscious visual percepts from the environment, and how conscious neural representations differ from unconscious ones.

Our further interest lies in related phenomena, such as perceptual organization, visual memory and learning, attention and cognitive control.

The CN group is part of the department of Psychology of the University of Amsterdam. It has affiliations with the Cognitive Science Center Amsterdam (CSCA), and the Spinoza center for neuroimaging.

The group is headed by Prof. Dr. Victor Lamme, in collaboration with dr. H. Steven Scholte.
